If God were to be the "reality" then we are his fictional beings yes lol.
Actually my statement was simply stating that we can understand God's rule over the universe by our control over fictional worlds. we can see and understand everything happening in and on that world/universe, the same as God does in real life.
the main difference is God doesn't control us, we have free will; unlike the characters we literally do control in fictional worlds >.<
Even if we don't agree on a reality, the idea is certainly equivalent. In my musings, I have found that, if it were so, this universe is merely a book that writes itself, and the god would be reading and speculating and, perhaps, writing in a bit of his/her own Deus Ex Machina (both in the literal and literary sense) to make the story work as s/he wants it to. Which leads to the other major difference between being an artist and being a god (in the traditional sense): a god can interact with creations.
